Plenty of Wings

Fiona set down my opponent and came into our room with an elaborate painting in hand. No doubt it was a dying world, but I wasn't concerned about that now. I eagerly poked at the cute little nose of my opponent, which only seemed to agitate and embarrass him more. And I thought Vriit was cute! Was all that ran through my mind.

"I found a world you might like, Hollow. There are plenty of monsters and dead things. You like that kind of stuff, right?" Fiona said as she placed the huge painting on the floor.

That was it. My attention was grasped by her words and I gave an excited grin. My opponent's face looked more terrified than excited, but what did I care?

"ONWARD KITTY/RACOON THING!" I shouted as I tossed him into the painting. I should have probably asked for his name…oh well.
I grabbed Mr. Pumpkin and jumped in after my opponent.

I landed in the dying world just in time to see the little kitty guy scramble into the forest nearby. It reminded me of the forests in my world. They were mainly just a bundle of dead trees in a field of equally dead grass. It really felt like home here.
I looked around and saw that I was in some run down village. The buildings looked like they were on the verge of collapsing, and some were even destroyed. Like something huge just plowed through them. The air was thick and musky and a thin fog covered the floor. I could smell something faint, but familiar. What was it? Oh come on, I smell this all the time, what is it? Oh yeah! Blood.

Hollow, I suggest you find your opponent.

"Oh! You're right! Thanks Mr. Pumpkin!"

I'm glad I have such a smart friend to help me. Mr. Pumpkin always helps me when I lose focus! I wish other people could see how smart he is, but he only seems to talk to me. I have never seen him talking to anyone else. But I guess that means he only wants to be friends with me and I'm fine with that!

I started off into the forest, hoping I might meet some monsters along the way. This round should be fun!
